« the rage and the cranky ... and did i mention the rage? | i'm so proud »

picture perfect not pictured

Knitting projects finished recently:

  • Avastish pullover with short row crew neck that I made up myself.

  • Cross Country Chullow that I made on a size larger needles to obtain gauge, and then discovered when I was all finished that it was giant and even my huge noggin was going for a swim inside, so I felted it a bit before attaching the tassels (which are giant and silly and wonderful). It fits now.

  • Bobbles and Brambles bag (sans handles because I haven't bought them yet) which, in the felting process, shrank A LOT more than expected. Instead of a 16" x 18" bag I have an approximately 13" x 10" bag. It is gorgeous, however, and fun to make. So fun that I think I might make another in springy colors with a lot more repeats of the pattern to it can actually be the jumbo bag I thought I was going to end up with. Maybe a bright green and yellow with clear plastic handles? Cute!
  • Knitting projects pictured recently:

    None.

How boring is a weblog that ends up being a lot about handmade stuff without the pictures? Quite. I'll be up at my cousin's well-lit house towards the end of the week. I'll try to take some decent pictures there. And the 'rents are going to be in SF with the two Avast(ish) sweater's I've made and have dinner with Intolerable Cruelty. I hope they return with some nice shots for me to share.
