As much as I have love in my heart for the hot hot days of summer, I despise the cooling-down, leaves-turning-silly-colors, dark-all-the-time (except when I am at work) commencement of fall. Always around this time of year I start feeling a little out of sorts and maybe just a little blue. I've come up with some good ways to try to beat off these tendancies by installing full spectrum lightbulbs in my house and overenthusiastic leaps into the holiday knitting season. All fine and good, but this year my methods don't really seem to be working.
This may be because I have also realized that due to an idiotic mistake, I am going to be shitass broke until spring. No new clothes for fall (I'll continue making due with the same garbage I've been wearing for years, most of which is starting to fall apart), no fall trip to The Grand Canyon, no winter trip to visit my awesome friends in DC, no ability to pay for fun evenings out, and the added stress of pretty constant money worries. The only upside may turn out to be some unintentional weight loss as I can't afford to eat out, but I'm pretty lazy when it comes to cooking. Yay, the Poverty Diet.
Anyway, woo fall (except, you know, the opposite of that). Here's Amy, already looking forward to spring. In the meantime, in an attempt to make myself feel better with some decluttering I'm cleaning out my stuff (with the added bonus of a few extra dollars for spending grocery money). Help a kid out and visit my internet yard sale (links on the right)!
Sorry! I hope the money thing works out sooner than you expect.
